* How to Find Out Whether Your Site is Indexed in Google or Bing

How to Submit Your Website to Search Engines

Our Sitebuilder Submit Site tools can be used to submit your website to the major search engines Google and Bing as well as thousands of other search engines in just a few clicks. After submitting the site, you may need to wait as long as 8 weeks to see it in the search engines.

Once your website is officially indexed in a search engine, you should not need to submit it again after each website update. But do be patient, as new or updated website material can take a while to appear.

Submitting your Sitebuilder website to the search engines is easy. Follow these steps:

  1. Log into your website.
  2. Click Marketing & SEO on the Admin page.
    • To fully prepare your site, click Overview, and then choose options under Optimize Your Site to be sure you've optimized your content, keywords, meta tags, and so forth.

  3. When you are ready to submit the site to the search engines, click the Submit Site button (with a green star) on the Marketing & Seo Page or the Submit Site link on the Overview page.

  4. Click Submit Your Site button.

How to Find Out Whether Your Site is Indexed

The most important search engines are Google and Bing, so we'll tell you how to quickly find out whether your site is indexed in these search engines.

  1. Go to www.Google.com (or, skip this step if your browser automatically uses Google as its search engine).
  2. In the Search box, type the following, and then press Enter:

site:yoursite where yoursite is your site URL, without http:// or www.
Example: site:pcartsonline.com
